3 THINGS I'M DOING TO HAVE A HAPPIER, LONGER LIFE

PASSION.

You know that I am FULL of PASSION for the work that I do.

Passion is when you put more energy into something than is required to do it. It's more than just excitement or enthusiasm. Passion is AMBITION that you then take ACTION on and you give it as much of your heart, mind, body and soul as you humanly can! Whew! Sounds incredible huh?!

This passion for the work that I do got me thinking about my life. I want to live the happiest, healthiest, and longest life that I possibly can. Because of that, I want to share with you three things that we both (you and I), can do to make the most of our time here. Let's do what we can to ensure that we have the energy and vitality to fully experience all the GOOD that life has to offer.

1. Let's start with aging. As in, don’t stress over aging. This one is easier said than done. I know that. But as someone who lives in the public eye, aging is something that gets thrown at me All.The.Damn.Time! I have to check myself and remind myself that aging is a privilege not everyone gets to have.

Aging is not something to be sad about-it's a BLESSING. Aging gives you the chance to be proud of who you are and who you will become. When you let go of stressing and obsessing over aging, ironically, you’ll feel and look a lot younger. Your body does whatever your mind tells it to, so by not dealing with stress and anxiety that takes a toll on your body, you begin to FEEL and LOOK better. Plus, why waste our time stressing about something we can't control? Aging is a blessing, and we need to see it as such.

2. Play and laugh more. I love how happy Dom gets over anything and everything. It inspires ME to be happier. As we get older, we tend to become stiff, stern, and serious. We need more PLAY! Life cannot be all work and no play. You know how they say laughter is the best medicine? It's because of the JOY it brings us. Laughter is healing. Fun is healing. If we want to live healthier, happier, and longer lives, we need to play, we need to have more fun, laugh more often, and remember the joy we had as kids. Find something-anything- that brings you happiness and do it daily. Find little ways to incorporate more joy and laughter into your life. This WILL extend your life and improve the quality of it.

3. Eat like you give a damn. Health is not about the way you look, it's about how you FEEL. Looking good is a side effect of taking care of yourself, internally. Listen, there are no real quick fixes. There’s no workaround to eating like crap and still being healthy. You have to stop making it ONLY about what the outside looks like. If you want to be like me, and live a happier, healthier, and longer life, then we need to focus on healthy habits that build a healthy LIFESTYLE. That healthy lifestyle, will then in turn build a healthy, fit body. But it starts with what? Giving a damn about what you put in that beautiful body of yours.
