Ok lets talk.
This is a follow up to the last post I did about non-scale victories. I keep seeing people post on social media how they have lost 6lbs, 8lbs, 10lbs in 21 days doing my programs (21 Day Fix and/or 21 Day Fix Extreme). Then they go on to say how many inches they have lost off of their body, 6 inches, 10 inches, 20 inches. And finally they follow it up with, “I was hoping for more but Im ok with this.” OMG!!!!!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW??!! Sorry, but I get really passionate about this stuff. How are you not jumping for joy? Why are you not celebrating your success? When was the last time you lost that much weight in less than a month and did it by only having to exercise 30 minutes a day AND you still got to eat the foods you love?
When did we start setting such unrealistic expectations for ourselves? I understand that when you have a certain amount of weight to lose you want to lose it in as little time as possible but its NEVER going to be something that happens overnight. Thats just not the way it works. It sucks that we can gain 5lbs with a bad week of eating but its a lot harder to lose 5 lbs with a good week of eating, thats just the way the cookie crumbles.
My point is to STOP beating yourself up, STOP feeling like its never good enough. CELEBRATE! Be proud. Give yourself credit for all of your hard work and keep going. Ive said it before and I will say it again, fitness is not a destination its a journey. There will be ups and downs, learn to enjoy the ride.
