There are so many great ideas out there for creating a healthier version of Halloween for your kids. My Little Man loves Halloween, especially the part where he gets to enjoy a few extra treats here and there. For us this does not mean fun-size versions of candy bars or mini bags of Skittles. Thankfully there are tons of creative mom bloggers out there who have paved the way and loaded Pinterest with lots of fun recipes. I picked a few of my favorites and made them with Dom. Turns out the fresh and healthier treats taste a lot better than the packaged candy out there– he LOVED them! I encourage you to involve your kids, having them take part in the process is always a great way to get them excited about the foods they eat.

Here are a few recipes using fresh fruits– Enjoy!

What You Need:

1-2 medium bananas
1 cup white chocolate- melted
Mini chocolate chips
Popsicle sticks

What You Do:

1.Cut banana in half lengthwise, then in half to make four quarters.
2. Insert popsicle sticks into bananas, and freeze bananas on a wax paper lined cookie sheet.
3.  Fill a coffee mug with chocolate. Melt ambien healthcarewell chocolate in the microwave 30 seconds at a time, stirring until the chocolate is melted and soft. Or melt on stovetop and quickly transfer to mug (easier for dipping).
4. Take frozen bananas and dip one at a time into the chocolate, scraping off the excess chocolate from the back of the banana, and place it on a cookie sheet lined with wax paper.
5. Quickly add the chocolate chips for the eyes before the chocolate hardens (you have to work quickly here).
6. Return to the freezer until frozen and ready to eat. Eat frozen!

Served the Pumpkin Cuties at our Halloween party last night. Parents thought they were super ‘cute’ 😉 And clever.

Great option for kids to add fun fruit to a plate BEFORE headed out to trick or treat.

    Thanks for the idea, Autumn!
